The garden is communal, volunteer-run and not for profit. We rely on our members to keep the garden healthy, and the community strong. There are a number of teams who look after different facets in the running of the garden, and members are welcome to join a team that matches your interests, or simply participate in the monthly working bees or watering schedules.
Garden teams include:
Planting and Propagation team
Tree team
Compost team
Events team
Grants team
Construction team
Communications and Social Media team
Watering team
We share the tasks of building, planting, plant care and harvesting. Working bees occur on the third Sunday of every month. We’re also a no-guilt garden and realise people have busy lives and varying availabilities.
Members all have 24-hour access to the garden via a lockbox code, to enjoy the space or collect fruit and veg as needed.
Regular public events and workshops help us raise funds, share knowledge and enjoy each others’ company! Details of these are always shared within the community WhatsApp group and participation is always optional.
